Isometric Pixel Art

For this assignment we were set the task of creating an isometric pixel art retro robot of our own design, as well as learning about isometric pixel art and practising how it works on basic shapes and how we can then apply this to scenes and more complex designs.

To start off the lesson we first began by practising some basic isometric pixel art to get the hang of the angles and proportions for what looks correct in a isometric scene.

After we were comfortable with how basic shapes are created and worked in the isometric view we were then set free to create our own retro robot designs, not only making sure it looks correct and proportional but also adding some colour and thinking about various tones of colour to bring the concepts to life.

I am really pleased with my final outcome and I feel I have grasped the overall concept of the isometric pixel art and then applied the skills learnt and created my own simple yet effective final concept based around a given theme.
